UPDATE ON BABY MICAH - #11

THIS IS REALLY A GOOD ONE!!!!!

Yesterday (Thursday), during Micah’s second therapy session, Micah took 9 cc’s of breast milk from a bottle! And after he finished, the therapist told Stephanie that if he coughed, it would be a good thing because it means he is clearing out any fluid that didn’t go down right. Then guess what Micah did right after the therapist said that??? HE COUGHED!!!

We are so thrilled! I am actually dizzy with joy!

And then, a few hours after his feeding, the gastroenterologist came in with the intent of talking about setting up the procedure to insert the feeding tube. He jokingly said that he had heard that we were “force feeding” Micah. He had a big smile on his face. He said that he was coming in to schedule the procedure and explain everything to us but he said he would just do that another day, when (and if) that day comes. He said he would like to give Micah a little more time to progress and see how he does on his own!!!

OKAY, SO YET ONE MORE MIRACLE IN THE MAKING!!!!!

PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY THAT MICAH CONTINUES TO SUCK WITH STRENGTH SO HE CAN FEED ON HIS OWN AND THAT GOD WOULD RESTORE HIS MUSCLE STRENGTH & TONE IN HIS THROAT.

PRAY THAT HE CONTINUES TO CLEAR HIS OWN SECRETIONS THROUGH SWALLOWING AND COUGHING.

PRAY THAT HE WILL NOT NEED A TRACHEOTOMY OR A FEEDING TUBE.

PRAY THAT MICAH WILL CONTINUE TO BREATHE COMPLETELY ON HIS OWN WITHOUT THE AID OF ADDITIONAL OXYGEN & THAT HIS LUNGS CONTINUE TO STRENGTHEN.

God seems to be restoring Micah’s strength in some of his muscles. His legs are very spastic still as are his little hands.

PRAY FOR COMPLETE HEALING OF MICAH’S BODY & MUSCLES.

We are convinced that God will do a restoration in little Micah’s brain.

THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT TO PRAY FOR – COMPLETE HEALING AND RESTORATION OF MICAH’S BRAIN.

And, PRAY FOR A MIRACLE IN THE HEARTS OF THE DOCTORS & NURSES WHO DON’T BELIEVE IN A GOD WHO COULD AND WOULD DO SUCH WONDERFUL THINGS! PRAY THAT THEY WILL SEE THE HAND OF GOD IN MICAH’S LIFE & THAT THEIR HEARTS WOULD TURN TO THE “ONE TRUE PHYSICIAN”& GIVE HIM ALL THE GLORY FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE!

I realize we just updated you yesterday but I could not wait to share this GREAT news! PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR MICAH! God is continuing to answer our prayers.
